An independent photojournalist was mercilessly killed by obscure shooters at his home in Kitale, Trans Nzoia district Wednesday, September 7.
Dennis Otieno was shot dead when shooters attacked his home at around 11pm.
Otieno's better half Janet Otieno said the three shooters requested a photograph before assaulting him.
"While attempting to shield himself, they shot at him twice yet missed. The third shot executed him," said Janet.
The posse was supposedly attempting to recoup pictures that the late writer had captured at an occasion.
