The first ever picture of conjoined twin girls who were separated in a historical surgery in Kenya and Africa has been released.
The two-year-old girls born in 2014 were conjoined at the sacral region of the lower spinal cord.
It took a team of 60 doctors to separate the girls in 23 hours, the first ever successful surgery done in Kenya from Tuesday, November 1 at 6 am to Wednesday, November 2 at 5 am.
The team included pediatric surgeons, neurosurgeons, plastic and reconstructive surgeons, anesthetists and nursing teams.
