On Thursday, the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) assigned Justice David Maraga and sent his name to the President for arrangement as the new Chief Justice.
Maraga's name will be at President Uhuru Kenyatta's desk for formal arrangement and sent to the National Assembly for endorsement by MPs.
Maraga, 64, was named as the top competitor subsequent to beating a gathering of 13 applicants who connected for the Chief Justice's employment.
