Ruto has been rushed in a to Nairobi for treatment after he got entangled in a clash between political rivals.
Ruto was severaly harmed amid the confusion after cops heaved teargas to scatter the conflicting political rivals.
"A modest bunch of my supporters went along with me and a contention resulted .A formally dressed officer tried to hit me with a stick however he was constrained. Around 10 cops withdrew and hurled tear gas canisters straightforwardly at me. A canister hit me beneath the right eye and I managed a cut," Ruto said on his Twitter page.
